2009-Up Honda Pilot LX Roof Rack Installation Instructions

1. Open the hatchback. Take away the rear roof molding covers with a plastic trim tool.
2. Drill two holes via each cover on the scribe marks on the inside of the duvet with a three-mm drill bit. Reduce the end of every cowl off with a hack noticed alongside a line by way of the hole closest to the end.
3. Take away the roof molding from either side of the vehicle. Take away the retaining clips from the stud bolts in the roof rack channels with needle-nose pliers.
4. Measure the correct roof molding 893 mm from the front finish and minimize it off with a hack saw. Measure back a hundred thirty mm and reduce again. Discard that piece. Measure again 1,a hundred and ten mm and minimize again. Discard the remaining piece. Repeat this step on the left molding.
5. Install the molding clips on the molding pieces. Reinstall the roof molding covers. Reinstall the molding pieces.
6. Install the roof racks. Insert the Torx bolts into the holes in the racks. Tighten the bolts to 8.9 ft.-lb.
7. Slide the cross bars into the racks. Align the cross bar marks with the roof rack marks. Tighten the crossbar knobs.
8. Install a Torx bolt into the opening on the within back of every roof rack crossbar slot. Install the roof rack finish covers.
